Hasta el momento, se han documentado alrededor de 30 casos, todos sin consecuencias fatales.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Kershenobich explic\u00f3 que la enfermedad se desarrolla cuando una herida expuesta y mal higienizada permite que una mosca deposite huevos, los cuales se convierten en larvas que invaden el tejido. El tratamiento, dijo, consiste en un lavado quir\u00fargico para extraer los par\u00e1sitos, por lo que es fundamental atender de inmediato cualquier herida abierta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cEl origen de la miasis est\u00e1 en la falta de higiene. Si una herida no se limpia ni se cubre adecuadamente, se puede contaminar\u201d, subray\u00f3 el funcionario.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A pesar de la alarma que puede generar el hallazgo, el secretario de Salud enfatiz\u00f3 que no se han registrado muertes asociadas a estos casos y que el fen\u00f3meno no representa un riesgo generalizado, aunque s\u00ed requiere prevenci\u00f3n b\u00e1sica, como el correcto cuidado de lesiones cut\u00e1neas.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Salud descarta riesgo de muerte.
